Ladyfest*East Needs Your Help!
LadyFest*East is in the house. The
shows are set, the artists are ready, but to make this festival
really happen—WE NEED YOUR HELP!! It’s time to stand
up and support women's art. Here’s what's going on and what
you can do:
1. We need money!
LadyFest East is committed to donating
proceeds from ticket sales to the Rape Abuse and Incest National
Network (RAINN). This organization is doing incredible things
to support the needs of women. In order to make sure that they
get as much support as they can, we’re asking for donations.
Empty your pockets, give whatever you can: give $5, give $25 or
even $1 will help! Your money will help make the LadyFest East
events in September possible and prevent us from having to cover
production costs by sucking up money from ticket sales, money
that should be going to RAINN.
2. Spread the
word !
Send our website address to all the supporters of women’s
music and women’s art out there and let them know that LadyFest
East is happening and we need their help too! If we all put our
resources together, we can make this an unforgettable event that
celebrates the artistic accomplishments of women and offers support
to other women’s organizations that really need it.
3. Volunteer!
We need folks to help up staff and
run the event as well as help out with pre-fest preparations.
